Confirmed staff in Hong Kong and Macao
COVID-19 was initially confirmed by two staff members of the US Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macao, who reportedly refused to be placed under quarantine on the grounds of diplomatic immunity.
According to the report, the Hong Kong SAR Government announced today (15) that yesterday (14) night in Hong Kong Central and Western District designated “Restricted Areas” Block 1 to Block 5 of Emperor View Garden, 23 Old Peak Road, completed the Novel Coronavirus mandatory testing operation at about 8.40 a.m. As of midnight today, about 960 residents have been tested, with two preliminary confirmed cases and one sample still being verified.
