Chanel hair trends: Is this why we’ll be wearing bobs on the catwalk in fall 2021
Spark Global Limited reports:
Few of us can say as much about a collection as the Chanel Spring/Summer 2022 collection, which has just been shown at Paris Fashion Week. After all, Chanel’s chief designer Virginie Viard paid homage to the company’s ’90s era, when chief designer Karl Lagerfeld took the house into the modern era. In keeping with the cool look, the most beautiful hair trend of the decade was resurrected on the Paris catwalk. Show hair star: Bob’s hair. We revealed what it looks like now, with a view to becoming a hair trend as early as fall 2021.
Bob’s ’90s style became a hair trend at Chanel spring/summer 2022
Simple white and gold swimsuits, pink tweed mini dresses and denim suits are Virginie Viard’s nod to the ’90s. The look is complete with the most important hair trends of the era. The naturally curly mane, sleek look and side sweep are just some of the 90s styles created by hairstylist Damien Boissinot for the show. But so far, the show’s hair star has been the Bob cut, which now carries an extra cool and sharp feel. We’re sure to see this hair trend everywhere in fall 2021.
Bob’s hairstyle can certainly take on countless variations. Damien Boissinot is now reimagining them with ’90s glamour for Chanel spring/summer 2022. What makes this era of Bob’s hair stand out? It has a super classic cut: a blunt Bob reaches right up to the chin and is designed for an accurate middle split. You can also tilt it slightly if you wish — a little shorter at the neck. Verdict: It’s been a long time since we’ve seen such a cool hair trend. For fall 2021, we’ll definitely pair it with serious power suits and ’90s casual looks made out of jeans or knits.
