Huai Jinpeng was appointed secretary of the Party group of the Ministry of education

Huai Jinpeng, born in December 1962 in Jinan, Shandong Province, graduated from Jilin University of Technology (now Jilin University) in 1984, received a master’s degree from Harbin University of technology in 1987 and a doctor’s degree from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1993.

He has successively served as a teacher, deputy director and director of the computer department of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, deputy secretary of the Party committee, vice president and executive vice president. He was clearly designated as the bureau level in February 2006.

In May 2009, Huai Jinpeng was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and President of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and was promoted to the vice ministerial level. In November of the same year, he was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In February 2015, Huai Jinpeng was transferred to Vice Minister of the Ministry of industry and information technology and vice secretary of Tianjin municipal Party committee in December 2016.

In August 2017, Huai Jinpeng was appointed secretary of the Party group and first Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for science and technology. In September 2017, he was elected executive vice chairman of the Ninth National Committee of the China Association for science and technology. In May this year, he was elected vice chairman of the 10th National Committee of China Association for science and Technology (full-time, in charge of daily work).

He is a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee and a member of the central talent work coordination group.

According to the previous introduction of Xinhuanet, academician Huai Jinpeng is a computer software expert in China. He is mainly engaged in the research of software and theory and networked software system technology. He has presided over and implemented a number of major national scientific research projects and made outstanding achievements. He has made major innovative contributions in network software operation, software design and development, communication security and so on. He has won many awards, such as the second prize of national technological invention and the second prize of national scientific and technological progress.

During his tenure as president of Beihang, he has been committed to developing Beihang’s international cooperation, especially with France, and played an important role in promoting the cooperation between Chinese and French universities and innovating the mode of scientific research cooperation between China and France. In June 2012, he was awarded the Knight Medal of the French National honorary Corps.

In an interview with the media, Huai Jinpeng once said that although he has been engaged in administrative work in the University for many years, he still keeps the habit of entering the laboratory at 8 o’clock every night and 9:30 every weekend morning, “I sometimes feel like a robot”.

In an interview with Outlook magazine last October, Huai Jinpeng talked about the spirit of scientists. He said that the spirit of scientists is the common value pursuit of scientific and technological workers and the moral high line of scientific and technological workers. A good style of work and study style are the “lifeline” of doing a good job in science and technology, the bottom line that must be adhered to, the key to the success or failure of science and technology, and the foundation for building an innovative country and a world power in science and technology. Chen Baosheng began to serve as secretary of the Party group and Minister of the Ministry of education in 2016 and has been working for five years.

According to the official resume, Chen Baosheng was born in May 1956 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. In his early years, he worked as an educated youth and machine operator. In 1978, he studied political economics in the Department of economics of Peking University. After graduation in 1982, he returned to work in Gansu Province and successively served in the Department of Commerce, the office of the Economic Department of Gansu provincial Party committee, the Policy Research Office of the general office of Gansu provincial government, the development research center of Gansu provincial government and other units. In 1996, he served as Deputy Secretary General of Gansu provincial government and director of the Development Research Center (Research Office) of Gansu provincial government.

In 1999, Chen Baosheng was appointed secretary of Jiuquan Prefecture Party committee, member of the Standing Committee of Gansu provincial Party committee and director of the Publicity Department of Gansu provincial Party committee in 2002, and transferred to Secretary of Lanzhou municipal Party committee in 2004.

In 2008, Chen Baosheng was transferred to the post of vice president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, and in 2013, he was appointed party secretary and vice president of the National Academy of administration. In June 2016, he was transferred to Secretary of the Party group and Minister of the Ministry of education.

Chen Baosheng is an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 18th and 19th CPC Central Committees.
